PANO – Le Thanh International Border Gate under the  Border Guard Command of Gia Lai province rescued six people in a  flash flood on September 17.

Some areas in  Duc Co district were hit by flash floods due to heavy rains over the past days. A number of ethnic minority people  bad weather conditions were trapped by the flooding while on their way to do farming.

At 4:25am the same day, upon receiving  the information that six people in an area north of Doi stream was isolated by a flash flood, the border gate sent a rescue team of 11 troops with equipment to the scene.

After three hours, the team successfully evacuated six people to a safe place. The team also searched along the stream, but no more people found trapped by the flash flood.
