A joyful game in the festival
According to Senior Colonel Pham Van Men, Director of the Command’s Political Department, the festival drew the participation of a number of troops, local militia and self-defense forces, and local people.

Through different games such as dart, crossword, rolling balloons over a board of nails, simulated gun fire and quoits, the close ties between troops and people were  strengthened.

Soldier Do Ngoc Nam from the Military Command of Bien Hoa city said that, welcoming Tet at the unit for the first time and playing folk games at the festival made him happy. Via those games, his comrades and he were further aware of the national cultural identities, so that they could contribute to preserving and bringing into full play traditional culture in the international integration process.

Joining local troops during Tet holidays for many years now, Nguyen Thi Lan Nhi, a youth union member from Tan An commune, Vinh Cuu district, stressed that creative and improved folk games in close combination with military characteristics featured the simple, joyful and warm lives of troops.

In this festival, Nhi teamed up with militia Nguyen Van Nam from Tan An communal Military Command to play quoits and both of them won many prizes.
