Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan highly valued the unit’s preparations for the upcoming Tet holiday, especially the “Border spring warms up people’s heart” program, bringing local people a warm traditional Tet, and encouraged the unit’s troops to overcome difficulties to fulfill all assigned tasks, and maintain political security and social order in border areas.

The same day, the program “Border spring warms up people’s heart” was also launched. The organizing panel presented 10,000 gifts, worth over VND 5 billion to needy households in border areas; and held cultural activities for local people.

Notably, the Border Guard Command, in association with other sponsors, granted more than 300 gifts to policy beneficiaries, disadvantaged people; and over 1,000 gifts and 50 scholarships to needy students in Moc Chau district.

On the sidelines of the program, the military-run telecommunications group Viettel handed over 170 packs of gifts, worth VND 126 million to families of border troops and people in remote areas.
