PANO - Soldiers-volunteers from Economic-National Defence Unit No. 4 in Nghe An Province have recently supported Thai ethnic minority people in Tang Phan Village, Ky Son District, with upgrading their village road devastated by the flooding last year.

The support is part of activities launched in the unit in response to the Year of Youth 2011.

These young volunteers also gave them useful instructions on what crops should be suitable for the local soil and sanitation practises to prevent epidemics.

Besides, musical evenings recently launched have helped beautify the local people’s spiritual life and strengthen the close relationship between soldiers and civilians in peace time.
