Signal Corps has new political commissar
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs, on August 30, chaired a duty handover ceremony for former and new political commissars of the Signal Corps.

Implementing the decision of the Defense Minister, Political Commissar of the corps Major General Tran Minh Tam will retire from September 1, 2023, and Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Tri will be promoted to the corps’ political commissar.
During the conference, Major General Tran Minh Tam handed over to Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Tri the duty and authority of the corps’ political commissar.
Addressing the event, Gen. Quyet congratulated Major General Tran Minh Tam on successfully accomplishing his duty over the past 40 years serving in the military. He also expressed his hope that Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Tri, in his new position, would uphold the spirit of solidarity, contributing to building the politically-strong corps and excellently fulfill all tasks.

He also asked the corps’ chains-of-command to continue to grasp the situation so as to make recommendations to the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense in this field, while closely working with functional units to develop the military signal systems to meet task requirements in the current context, among others.
