Regiment 50 conducts live-fire exercise

Senior Colonel Bui Xuan Thang, Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of the Hai Phong city Military Command, directed the event.

Themed “Infantry platoon practices maneuvering to ambush and defending in mountainous terrain,” the exercise was divided into three stages, namely shifting the force to a higher combat readiness status, maneuvering and stationing in combat, and organizing, preparing and conducting operations.

During the exercise, participating forces well practiced and applied their knowledge to real combat scenarios, meeting the requirements of tactics and real situations. Therefore, the exercise was concluded successfully, ensuring the absolute safety for personnel and materiel.

The exercise aimed to enhance leadership and commanding capability of platoon officers and raise troops’ combat competence. Also it was an occasion to evaluate the training quality and infantry combat techniques.

Concluding the exercise, Senior Colonel Bui Xuan Thang applauded the great efforts of troops in overcoming difficulties and accomplishing all assigned missions. The troops achieved the set targets and ensured absolute safety.

Meanwhile, Colonel Thang pointed out shortcomings that need addressing in the time to come, hoping that the regiment would gain higher results in the upcoming exercises.
