Preparations for parade in celebration of VPA’s foundation day enhanced
PANO - Deputy Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia chaired a working session on July 1 in Hanoi with agencies and units on the preparation for the parade in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) (December 22, 1944 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day (December 22, 1989 - 2024).
According to the project on organizing activities in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the VPA’s foundation day and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day, the parade is scheduled to be held solemnly, safely, and economically with the participation of representatives from units in the armed forces. The event’s contents will highlight cultural identities and spread the aspiration for peace of the nation.

To perfect the project, the Department of Military Training has collaborated with agencies inside and outside the military to conduct on-site surveys at My Dinh National Stadium and agreed to add and adjust some contents related to the number of participants, equipment, and vehicles.
Speaking at the working session, Gen. Nghia acknowledged and praised agencies and units for pro-actively giving advice and making preparation for the parade to mark the important milestone of the VPA. He asked relevant agencies and units to make thorough preparation in all aspects, especially personnel, weapons, equipment, and soon form teams for training.
