Knowledge contests on VPA and GDP launched
PANO - On June 27 in Hanoi, under the direction of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee, the Military Youth Advisory Board, the Department of Political Education and Information, and the HCYU Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education held a press briefing to introduce two knowledge contests.
These contests are in celebration of the "80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day," and the "80th anniversary of the foundation day of the GDP."

The knowledge contest about the "80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day" is open to Vietnamese citizens both domestically and internationally, featuring two forms: an online quiz and a written exam. The online quiz will be livestreamed on the Facebook fanpages "The Information Portal of HCYU Central Committee" and "The HCYU Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education." Participants will answer questions in real-time via a multiple choice format. The written exam is divided into two categories: Category A is open to all participants, while Category B is specifically for children under 16 years old. Submissions will be accepted from September 1 to September 30, 2024, and collected at the Air Defense - Air Force Museum.

The knowledge contest about the "80th anniversary of the foundation day of the GDP" (December 22, 1944 - 2024) is open to Vietnamese citizens within the country. This contest involves a written exam with a maximum length of 5,000 words. Participants must address one of the 10 topics provided by the organizers through various forms such as essays, reflections, notes, reports, poems, and songs. Each author (or group of authors) may submit multiple entries. Submissions will be accepted from September 1 to September 30, 2024, and collected at the B-52 Victory Museum, and the Hanoi Capital Military Command.
The award ceremonies for both contests are scheduled to take place in December 2024.
