On October 19th, the Ton Duc Thang University presented 1,000 beds, totally worth over VND 2 billion, for troops and islanders in Truong Sa Island district.
The gift, delivered at the Naval Brigade 146, was significant to encourage troops and islanders to hold onto the sea and defend the sacred national sovereignty over seas and islands.
Earlier, the Military Zone 5 Command gave VND 80 million to Captain Luong Thanh Doan, a staff of the Staff Department of Dac Lac Provincial Military Command. The provincial military command also raised VND 175 million to support Doan.
Doan’s wife is suffering a serious illness while his children are often hospitalized due to their fatal illness or birth defect.
