The major theme focused on the sea-based economic development in line with safeguarding the national sovereignty over sea and islands.

The event aimed at improving the audiences’ knowledge of the Party’s and State’s guidelines on developing maritime economy and national sovereignty over sea and islands.

At the same time, it raised their awareness of and responsibility in doing their best to master equipment, promote training and combat readiness quality, and firmly protect the national sovereignty over sea and islands in any circumstances.

* On the same day, the naval region’s Brigade 146, in association with the provincial Department of Education and Training, held a meeting to popularize information dissemination on the country’s sea and islands to teachers and students at Tran Hung Dao High School in Cam Ranh city.

Information about national sea and islands introduced to listeners

Via stories shared by the brigade’s troops, the listeners learned more about the national sea and islands as well as duties and sacrifices of naval troops when performing their tasks.

Meanwhile, the brigade’s troops presented basic knowledge on the important role of the national sea and islands in the national construction and defense cause in the current context; the Party’s and State’s guidelines on settling disputes at sea; progress of building up the Vietnam People’s Navy; and policies for cadets and enrollment plans of the Naval Academy in 2022.

In the coming time, Brigade 146 is expected to work with the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information and Education to further popularize dissemination of information about Vietnam’s sea and islands across the province’s localities.
