Naval Region 2 holds farewell event for discharged soldiers in 2024
PANO - On January 28, in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the Naval Region 2 Command organized a farewell ceremony for discharged soldiers who completed their military service in 2024.
Over the past two years, the soldiers enlisted in 2022, who were assigned to various units and agencies under the Naval Region 2 Command, have demonstrated growth in all aspects. They have accumulated fundamental knowledge and experience in terms of military affairs, politics, logistics, and technology, while showing solid high competence discipline, and good health.
After undergoing training and military service, nearly 24% of the soldiers enlisted in 2022 were awarded the titles of “Emulation Warrior” and “Good Soldier,” and many were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Captain Dinh Van Thang, Deputy Commander of Naval Region 2, acknowledged and commended the achievements and contribution of the soldiers during their service. He expressed hope that these discharged soldiers, upon returning to their localities, would continue to uphold and promote the noble virtues of “Uncle Ho's soldiers - Naval soldiers.” He emphasized the importance of setting an example in adhering to the Party's directives and the State's laws.

He urged the soldiers to maintain their patriotism, fight against wrongful information about sea and islands, as well as the activities of the military. He also encouraged them to be ready to join reserve forces when needed.
During the ceremony, the Naval Region 2 Command presented gifts to 20 outstanding discharged soldiers who had excellently fulfilled their duties during their military service.
