Lt. Gen. Phan Van Giang handing over the noble order to the Nam Dinh provincial armed forces
Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, permanent member of the Central Military Commission (CMC), Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister, attended the ceremony.
General Ngo Xuan Lich, member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the CMC and Minister of National Defense; and Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Permanent member of the CMC and Director of the General Department of Politics, sent congratulation bouquets to the event.
At the ceremony, delegates and generations of the provincial armed forces’ troops and staff recalled the glorious tradition over the 70 years of construction, combat and development.
On behalf of the State President, Gen. Giang handed over the noble order to the provincial armed forces. Speaking at the event, Gen Giang asked the local armed forces to thoroughly grasp instructions and resolutions of the Party, the State, the CMC, the Ministry of National Defense, and Military Region 3 on military-defense missions.
The local armed forces should improve the quality of advisory work for local authorities in implementing military-defense tasks and the State’s management work over the implementation of defense-security missions.
* The same day, Cao Bang provincial armed forces also marked the 70th founding anniversary and received the second-class Fatherland Protection Order.
Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Minister of National Defense; and Nguyen Hoang Anh, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, attended the event.
On behalf of the State President, Gen. Truong presented the noble order to the local armed forces. The general highly valued the provincial armed forces’ achievements over the past 70 years.
The local armed forces should continuously follow instructions and directives of the Party, the State and the Ministry of National Defense while well implementing political and ideological education work, building a contingent of officers with firm political stance and determination to undertake and fulfill all assigned missions.
