MR9 requested to continue to ensure combat readiness
PANO – Deputy Director of the General Staff’s Department of Operations Major General Tran Hong Cong led a delegation to inspect combat readiness of affiliates of Military Region 9 (MR9) ahead of the country's National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1).
Over the past time, MR9's affiliates, including the An Giang provincial Military Command and Border Guard Command, Regiment 3 of Division 330, and the Kien Giang provincial Military Command and Border Guard Command, have embraced and strictly implemented all directives, regulations, and instructions of higher levels on combat readiness while grasping situations, closely worked with relevant forces to regularly practice combat readiness scenarios, ensured fire and explosion prevention, and shift to higher combat readiness posture in a timely manner.
In addition, they have also promptly maintained logistic services for combat readiness missions and taken good care of troops, checked equipment and ammunition, and ensured political security, social order and safety in localities where they are stationed.
Having inspected and been briefed upon the unit’s achievements in implementing combat readiness tasks over the past time, General Cong acknowledged and applauded their efforts, asking them to comprehensively and effectively conduct military and defense tasks, further raise troops’ combat readiness competence, and check the document system as regulated.
Meanwhile, they should be ready to take part in overcoming natural disaster consequences, implementing search and rescue missions, ensuring logistic services for all task accomplishment, while strictly grasping situations so as to make recommendations to local authorities to address all arising problems, maintain stability in border areas, political security, social order and safety in the areas where they are stationed.
