Ha Giang provincial leaders reported that Typhoon Yagi caused heavy rainfall, with many areas experiencing over 350mm of rain, leading to flash floods, landslides, and widespread flooding. The storm and subsequent flooding left one person dead and one missing, affected 1,196 houses (16 completely buried, 8 swept away, and 308 damaged by landslides), and damaged nearly 1,627 hectares of crops. The estimated total damage is around VND 100 billion. However, thanks to pro-active measures, timely evacuation reduced losses from the floods.
