PANO - Hailing the Military Technical Academy for its achievements in education and training, as well as scientific research, General Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, requested it to continue accomplishing its missions and improve its education and training quality in the time to come.
As reported at the general’s working session with the unit on November 16th, the unit has always attached importance to nurturing and educating its cadets about morality, lifestyle, strong will, professional etiquette, and motivation for study. Moreover, it has pushed up the “Determination to Win” emulation movement in close attachment to “studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” and “Promoting tradition, devoting talents, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” movements.

Sr. Lt. Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich welcomed by the academy's staff |
In this year alone, 97.54 per cent of its Party members accomplished their assigned missions. Notably, 30 per cent of its cadres and lecturers hold doctorate degrees.
The academy is training 42 specialities at the tertiary level, 17 for master and 15 for doctorate degrees.
Reminding the academy of proactively reworking its teaching methods in which cadets should be central and active, the general emphasized that there should be more focus on practical rather than theoretical training. He also underlined the need to boost IT application to the managment and renovation of teaching and studying methods; to build the academy into a prestigious and high quality education and training establishment at home, in the region and the rest of the world; and to promote scientific research in the direction of mastering equipment and technologies, contributing to building and modernizing the army.
On the occasion of the coming Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, General Lich presented flowers and gifts to the unit’s personnel and cadets.
