According to the report presented at the meeting, the department closely followed developments and effectively fulfilled its assigned responsibilities during the first half of 2026. It pro-actively advised the Central Military Commission (CMC), the Ministry of National Defense (MND), and the GDP leadership on directing and implementing key tasks, while introducing a number of innovative approaches that made military mass mobilization work more practical, effective, and responsive to real-world requirements.

Among its key achievements, the department successfully guided the implementation of activities related to the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term within the military. It also advised on the issuance of the CMC's Leadership Regulations on mass mobilization work in the Vietnam People's Army and the GDP's guidance for implementing the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" emulation movement and building "Outstanding Mass Mobilization Units" for the 2026–2030 period.
The department also grasped and carried out the field marches for mass mobilization, effectively organized mass mobilization activities during major holidays, national commemorations, important political events, as well as disaster prevention, response, and recovery efforts.
Concluding the conference, Sr. Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To commended the department's achievements and called for continued implementation of the directives and guidance issued by the Party Central Committee, the CMC, MND, and GDP. He stressed the need to improve the quality of strategic advice, effectively carry out mass mobilization, special public outreach, ethnic and religious affairs, and grassroots democracy, while ensuring all tasks are implemented on schedule and in accordance with established regulations.
He also instructed the department to strengthen monitoring of situational development in localities, border and maritime areas, and public opinion, thus making recommendations of initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the work.
In preparation for the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Department of Mass Mobilization and the Military Mass Mobilization sector, the GDP’s Deputy Chief directed the department to work closely with relevant agencies and units to develop a comprehensive plan and organize activities including public information campaigns, traditional education programs, commendation ceremonies, scientific seminars, reunions of mass mobilization personnel from different generations, emulation campaigns, and social welfare initiatives. These activities are intended to honor the department's proud legacy, recognize the contributions of generations of mass mobilization officers, and reaffirm the important role of mass mobilization work in national construction and defense.
