Lt. Gen. Pham Truong Son checks ADAF Service’s exercise in Central region
PANO - The Air Defense - Air Force (ADAF) Service held a staff and command exercise with map and field contents for its units in the Central region on July 31.
Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son checked the command post of the Air Defense - Air Force Service and agencies and units’ preparations for and participation in the event.
With the theme “Air defense - air force troops coordinate with forces to prepare and conduct an operation to protect national border, sea, and air in Central theater,” Divisions 375 and 372 organized an exercise in four stages, namely shifting combat readiness status, preparing for operation, conducting operation, and restoring combat strength.
The exercise was considered an opportunity to enhance capabilities of commanding officers at all levels; mobility and combat ability of air defense firepower detachments and air squadrons; the effectiveness of Party and political work and other aspects; coordination among forces.
This was also an opportunity for the Air Defense - Air Force Service to evaluate the capabilities of the air defense-air force units in defending the border, sea, and airspace of the Fatherland, thus studying, supplementing, and perfecting combat plans that closely match mission requirements in the new situation.
