Having been briefed on criteria for NA candidates and biography of General Luong Cuong, participants agreed that under the leadership of the Party, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense, General Luong Cuong has made great contributions to building a politically-, ideologically-, organizationally-, and morally-strong Military Party Organization and a revolutionary, regular, elite, and gradually-modernized army.
As a senior official, General Luong Cuong lives a healthy and simple life and always demonstrates a firm political position and pure revolutionary morals. He always gives up himself to the interests of the nation, people, Party, and military and is determined to combat corruption, wastefulness, bureaucracy, and wrongdoings. In his residential area, General Luong Cuong and his family members strictly observe the Party’s guidelines, State’s policies and laws, and locality’s regulations.
Delegates agreed that as a competent officer, General Cuong can understand important issues of the nation and the military and voters’ opinions, contributing to the NA’s law building and handling important issues of the nation.
At the event, General Cuong thanked local voters for their comments and trust. Mentioning NA deputies’ great responsibility, Cuong promised that he will be absolutely loyal to the Party, nation, and people, promote self-study to raise his professional competence, strictly study resolutions and directives, and listen to voters’ opinions and convey voters’ aspirations to higher levels, contributing to successfully implementing the two strategic missions of building and protecting the nation in the current period.
On behalf of the General Department of Politics where General Cuong is working, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics Senior Lieutenant General Do Can announced that all voters agreed to nominate Cuong to run for a seat at the 15th NA. Can emphasized that the nomination is an honor of not only General Cuong, his families, and homeland, but also the military and the General Department of Politics.
