According to the report revealed at the conference, over the past time, the GS has directed the whole military to strictly maintain combat readiness regulation observance and follow situational developments to handle arising issues in a timely and effective manner; closely coordinated with functional forces to ensure political security, social order and safety in localities across the country and during major events of the Party and nation; deployed electronic operations in key areas and thoroughly grasp situations in all aspects; and ensure cryptographic techniques, and so on.

The functional forces have collaborated to conduct patrols to manage and prevent illegal exit and entry; finalize plans to combat foreign vessels violating and infringing on Vietnam's waters. Training, exercises, and competitions have been effectively implemented as planned.

Meanwhile, the whole military has actively prepared enough personnel and vehicles to help local people in natural disaster prevention and control, and search and rescue operations.

Concluding the conference, Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong applauded the outstanding outcomes of agencies and units in their task performance over the past time.

Regarding missions in the coming time, the GS chief required the whole military to strictly observe combat readiness regulations; follow situations on the mainland, in the air, at sea, especially in key areas; closely coordinate with the police force to maintain political security, social order and safety nationwide and during important political events of the country and the military.

Agencies and units should focus on managing the borderline, conducting patrols in border areas, prevent and handle violation cases related to illegal exit and entry; enhance dissemination and patrols to prevent foreign vessels from infringing on Vietnam's waters; and synchronously implementing measures to prevent and combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing activities.

Together with implementing measures to ensure safety in flight operations; organizing live-fire drills among forces; strictly managing unmanned aerial vehicles and ultra-light aircraft, the units should strengthen information safety in cyberspace, organize training activities, exercises, competitions as planned, while making preparations for the organization of live-fire tactical drills in 2024.

Agencies and units should effectively implement the project on the parade in celebration of the 80th foundation anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-people’s Defense Festive Day.

Also, they should strictly maintain on-duty posture to be ready for search and rescue missions at all levels; pro-actively monitor situations to deal with any issues related to natural disasters, search and rescue, diseases and environmental disasters; intensify electronic warfare and inspection of information safety and security in cyberspace, among others.
