PANO - The General Department of Techniques of the Vietnam People's Army has well ensured logistics for its troops during the first six months of this year.

Accordingly, the general department's constituent units not only maintained adequate supplies for combat readiness and training mission, but also ensured daily food portions for troops. They have boosted food production by building many facilities, including eight cattle breeding farms, seven food-processing stations, nine green vegetable gardens, and so on.

The general department's production was valued at VND 12.5 billion in total, an increase of over VND 280 million compared with the same period last year. In addition, its constituent units also saved 10 percent of its expenditure for petrol, electricity and the budget for basic buildings.
