Last year, agencies and units under the Coast Guard Region 1 Command strictly observed combat readiness regulations, well carried out patrol and search and rescue missions, and effectively combated illegal fishing activities. They well coordinated with other forces to closely follow situational developments, thus proposing measures to handle circumstances in a timely and effective manner.
Praising the Coast Guard Region 1 Command’s achievements in 2023, Gen. Quyet asked its agencies and units to continue to grasp higher levels’ directives on combat readiness, actively follow situational developments, strictly observe guard regulations, practice scenarios to protect security and safety, organize happy and safe lunar New Year (Tet), and make preparations for the new training season.
He urged coast guard agencies and units in the region to cooperate with local authorities to take good care of policy beneficiaries.
On this occasion, the GDP’s deputy chief handed over the CMC and MND’s gifts to officers and troops of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command and wished them good health and excellent task accomplishment.
The same day, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, the GDP’s Deputy Chief, headed a delegation to visit and extend New Year greetings to military units in Hanoi, namely Regiment 692 of Division 301 of the Hanoi Capital Command, Regiment 102 of Division 308 of Army Corps 12, and Commando Brigade 1 of the Commando Corps.

On hearing units’ reports on their task performance in 2023 and their preparations for the upcoming lunar New Year celebrations, Lt. Gen. Le Quang Minh asked them to continue to promote unity, achieve higher results in 2024, grasp and seriously carry out higher levels’ resolutions and directives on military and defense missions, especially directives on combat readiness observance and organization of Tet. He urged the units to prepare and organize a happy, healthy, safe, economical, and high combat readiness Tet for troops.
