In April, the Party and political work was carried out comprehensively, closely followed military-defense tasks, the building of the Military Party Organization, and reality, meeting all set targets and obtaining remarkable outcomes.

The whole military has effectively implemented political and ideological education work; coordinated with other forces to successfully organize activities in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; actively protected the Party’s ideological foundation, fought against wrong and hostile viewpoints, and firmly maintained Party's ideological “front” in the military.
Moreover, officers and soldiers have kept firm political stance, placed absolute trust in the Party’s leadership, heightened responsibility, and stayed ready to receive and fulfill all assigned missions.
The Party Committees at all levels and Party organizations have strictly implemented resolutions, directives, conclusions, regulations, and instructions of the Party Central Committee, Central Military Commission, and GDP on the building of the Party building work, while enhancing following situational developments to timely detect signs of violations by Party organizations and Party members, among others.
Speaking at the event, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Gau acknowledged and applauded the great efforts of agencies and units in task performance, required them to closely follow the situation; strictly implement set plans and programs; focus on raising the quality and efficiency of the political and ideological education; and proactively disseminate information to orient ideology and public opinion, as well as protect the Party’s ideological foundation.
The agencies and units should work together to successfully organize activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the 35th anniversary of the Whole People's Defense Festive Day in association with the 80th founding anniversary of the GDP.
The GDP deputy chief also urged the improvement of the quality of the work in major tasks such as combat readiness and training, regularity building, discipline observance, disaster and disease prevention and control, search and rescue; as well as intense practice for the parade in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
