GDP Chief offers incense to fallen soldiers in Dien Bien
PANO - Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army General Luong Cuong on April 11 led a delegation to offer incense and laid flowers in tribute to war martyrs at the Martyrs’ Temple in Dien Bien Phu Battlefield and National War Cemetery A1 in Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien province.
The event was attended by Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theory Council Nguyen Xuan Thang, GDP’s Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, and Secretary of the Dien Bien provincial Party Committee Tran Quoc Cuong.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation offered incense and flowers to pay deep tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap and fallen soldiers in Dien Bien Phu battlefield.

Writing down on the guest book of the National War Cemetery A1, General Cuong affirmed that the sacrifice of war martyrs symbolizes patriotism and revolutionary heroism. Troops of the Vietnam People’s Army are determined to preserve and promote good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, and ready to fulfill all assigned tasks, deserving to be the political force of the Party, State, and people, contributing to the national cause of protection and construction.
