Regarding key missions in the coming time, the deputy chief of the GDP asked party committees and chains-of-command at all levels of the command to be fully aware of their roles and duties, work closely with local authorities in defense - security work and Fatherland safeguarding.

They were also requested to concentrate on improving the quality and effectiveness of political education work, management of troops’ thoughts, and raising troops’ awareness of their Fatherland safeguarding task in the new situation.

The Ha Giang provincial Military Command should boost solidarity in its Party Committee, strictly observe principles on the Party’s leadership, pay attention to improving troops’ life, and better the policies for troops and their families, as well as prevent all kinds of crimes.

The same day, the delegation offered incense and flowers in tribute to heroes and martyrs at Vi Xuyen National War Cemetery and at the Temple dedicated to Fallen Troops of Vi Xuyen Front on Hill 486 in Nam Ngat village, Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district of Ha Giang.

The same day, GDP Deputy Director Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh leading a GDP delegation paid an inspecting visit to the Thanh Hoa provincial Border Guard Command.

At the working session, Gen. Minh applauded the unit’s attainments in the past year. He laid stress on some Party and political work contents that the command should perform better in the coming time.

He urged the Thanh Hoa provincial Border Guard Command’s Party Committee and leadership to pro-actively grasp, make accurate forecast and assessment of situational developments, give timely recommendations and proposals to the local Party Committee and authorities and the Vietnam Border Guard Command to issue policies and deal with situations related to military - defense affairs, border, sea and islands in a timely and effective manner.

The command was also asked to supplement and practice combat readiness scenarios to avoid being put in a passive position while improving training quality in the 2023-2030 period and subsequent years, completing set training programs and exercises organization with close attachment to reality in the stationed areas and combat targets.

Moreover, it should renovate contents and methods, and improve quality of political education work, closely manage troops’ thoughts to achieve high unity in awareness and action, and raise the efficiency of Party and political work in duties, particularly in training and combat readiness. In addition, it should also well perform regularity building, disaster prevention, search and rescue missions, border protection, and crime prevention and control.
