Central report and opinions delivered at the meeting confirmed that in October, the whole military’s Party and political work was carried out closely, meeting all set plans. Attentively, alongside routine tasks, unscheduled ones were completed excellently, including political and ideological education, orientations of opinions on new, complex, and sensitive issues, fight against wrongful, distorted, and reactionary viewpoints, protection of the Party’s ideological foundation.

In the month, the contents on the project of organizing activities in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defense Festive Day, and the project on celebrations of 70 years of the Dien Bien Phu Victory were carried out effectively. Notably, the professional art festival on whole people’s defense, whole military contest for good Women’s Union officials, and the tenth Congress of the Military Trade Union were organized successfully.
Good outcomes were also seen in Party building, supervision, personnel, security protection, and defense diplomacy work. The mass mobilization, realization of policies and performance of Party and political work in duties were continuously maintained and promoted. In addition, the whole military pro-actively prevented natural disasters and overcame consequences of flooding, landslides, and others, thus spreading the good images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new period.
Concluding the meeting, General Luong Cuong commended GDP’s affiliated agencies and units for their great efforts, overcoming difficulties, and fulfilment of all assigned missions.
Regarding the missions for November, the GDP director asked its affiliates to continue to keep a close watch on situational developments, thoroughly grasp functions and duties, and effectively carry out set programs.
He asked them to concentrate on political and ideological education, raising awareness and responsibility of troops in task performance, dissemination of information about the results of the eighth session of the 13th Party Central Committee and the sixth session of the 15th National Assembly, promotion of role and effective operation of the all-level steering boards 35 and Forces 47 of the whole military.
The GDP chief also emphasized the review and classification of Party organizations, Party members and mass organizations, completion of the Central Military Commission’s draft resolution on leading the implementation of military and defense and military building work in 2024, among others.
