The mission checked the performance of the province’s Military Command, Border Guard Command, Organization Commission and Mass Mobilization Commission of the provincial Party Committee, Finance Department, and Trieu Son district. They also checked defense-military knowledge of 30 officials at the sector and department levels, examined K54 pistol and AK sub-machine gun shooting skills lesson 1 of some officers and non-commissioned officers, and heard reports on the outcomes of the province’s defense task performance.
Reportedly, in 2022 and the first eight months of this year, Thanh Hoa province’s authorities well directed the performance of local military and defense tasks. Gains were seen in making recommendations on developing socio-economy coupled with consolidating defense and security posture, building defense and defensive projects, and providing officials and students with military-defense knowledge. Attentively, last year, the province successfully organized a provincial-level defensive area exercise with field contents and with active coordination of Division 324 of Military Region 4 in the fight against amphibious landing enemies.

In his concluding speech, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Doan Anh lauded the province’s Party Committee, authorities, and people for their achievements and the province’s priority given to the military-defense work.
The deputy chief of the General Staff emphasized the strategic position of the province which has both land and sea borders, dense population, and other advantages such as seaports, airport, tourism, services, and others, helping the province in socio-economic development, defense consolidation, and building of all-people’s defense posture, and a firm defensive area.
In order to carry out two strategic missions of building and defending the Fatherland, Gen. Anh asked the province to continue to embrace and effectively realize the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws on military and defense. He also urged local competent forces to grasp situations, deal with defense-security situations, and prevent diseases and natural disasters.

Thanh Hoa province was requested to promote internal strength, develop into a firm defensive area, spoil any plots and schemes of hostile forces, and create a peaceful and stable environment for development.
