In August, the Party and political work in the whole military was implemented in a comprehensive manner, with both scheduled and unscheduled programs completed, bringing remarkable outcomes.
Attentively, the whole military pro-actively conducted political education and information dissemination; actively organized activities to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army; the 35th anniversary of the Whole-people’s Defense Festive Day; and the 80th founding anniversary of the GDP.
Documents guiding the organization of all-level Party congresses in the military, towards the 14th National Party Congress, were made and issued together with the building of the draft law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam People’s Army Officers. Agencies and units effectively implemented activities to ensure security, safety, mass mobilization work, policies, social and health insurance, to name but a few.
The political and ideological situation in the whole military was maintained. Troops have shown absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense and stayed ready to undertake and complete all assigned tasks. The GDP stayed united to implement its functions and tasks, and strictly observed military discipline and regulations. The department focused on the leadership and direction of the completion of the Vietnam Museum of Military History; making careful preparations for and be ready to welcome visitors from September 1.
Concluding the conference, Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet applauded the obtained achievements of the agencies and units in August.
Regarding the key tasks in September, the GDP chief required the agencies and units to promote the pro-active and creative spirit to overcome limitations and shortcomings; effectively implement the Party and political work in missions, particularly combat readiness and training, regularity building and military discipline management; local military and defense work; natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue operations, defense competitions and exercises as planned.
Other missions include the implementation of activities in celebration of the 79th anniversary of the National Day, the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People’s Defense Festive Day, and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the GDP in an effective and practical manner with absolute safety.
In the coming time, the GDP’s functional agencies should concentrate on finalizing the draft guiding the organization of all-level Party congresses in the military, towards the 14th National Party Congress, while coordinating with other agencies to prepare for the working session between the inspection delegation of the Politburo and the CMC Standing Board on the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of the resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
Meanwhile, the agencies and units should effectively carry out mass mobilization work; closely follow local situational developments; help people surmount natural disaster aftermath; implement the GDP’s decision on supporting the construction of great solidarity houses and maintaining policies, social and health insurance for people as planned, among others.
