The Vietnam National Defense Television channel under the Military Broadcasting Center is one of the seven essential domestic television channels serving political tasks and disseminating information nationwide. It has nine news bulletins per day in Vietnamese, English and Chinese. The channel is currently being integrated into broadcasting infrastructure according to the Government’s planning. It also broadcasts on satellite digital infrastructure, and broadcast online on the internet at http://www.qpvn.vn, creating favorable conditions for audiences at home and abroad to easily access the information, especially soldiers and people in remote, border areas and on islands.

Addressing the event, General Giang affirmed that over the past ten years, under the leadership of the Central Military Commission (CMC), Ministry of National Defense (MND), and the GDP, the Military Broadcasting Center has always fulfilled its assigned tasks as an organ of the CMC, MND, and the voice of the armed forces and people.

Besides, it has actively and effectively disseminated two strategic tasks of building and safeguarding the Fatherland, while promoting its pioneering role in the fight against wrongful viewpoints, and contributing to protecting the ideological foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, protecting the independence and sovereignty of the Fatherland. The channel has also made contribution to the building of the all-people national defense and people’s security; building an elite, compact, strong and modernized military, while promoting disseminating external defense relations activities so as to raise the country’s prestige in the international arena.

On behalf of the CMC, MND, General Giang hailed and congratulated the unit on its task achievements over the past ten years.

During the gala show, audience met with historical witnesses who have worked in the center for ten years. In addition, many outstanding art performances left good impression on participants.

Authorized by Prime Minister, General Giang handed over the certificate of merit of the Prime Minister to the Military Broadcasting Center for their achievements in building and developing the channel from 2013 to 2022. On the occasion, Viettel Media also received the certificate of merit of the defense minister.
