E-government building in the military to be boosted
PANO – The Ministry of National Defense hosted the first meeting of its e-government steering board in Hanoi on January 25 under the chair of Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and Deputy Defense Minister.
Over the past years, the Central Military Commission and the Defense Ministry have paid due attention to promoting the application of information technology (IT) while maintaining information security, and building an e-government platform within the ministry.
Particularly, the Defense Ministry issued a number of legal instructions to direct the whole military units on this work and achieved positive results, contributing to expediting the modernization process in the military.
