PANO - Naval Region 4, under the Navy, reviewed its achievements in the “Determination to win” movement in the period of 2009-2012 on October 26th.
Over the past three years, Naval Region 4 thoroughly grasped and comprehensively developed the emulation movement to its subordinate units. Some units actively improved their emulation activities, and brought their achievements into play, contributing to raising combat readiness training quality and political awareness among troops.
Besides, Naval Region 4’s troops searched and rescued local fishermen and their property as well as conducted joint patrols at sea with Chinese naval units.
Since 2009, the unit was awarded the Second-class Fatherland Protection Order by the State; the Truong Sa Lon (Big Spratly) received the Third-class Feat of Arms Order; 9 groups and 12 individuals were granted with certificates of merit by the Prime Minister, and thousands of troops were presented with certificates at all levels.
In the period of 2012-15, Naval Region 4 schedules to promote its capacity of effectively and safely mastering weapons and technical equipment, quality of combat readiness training to support fishermen and firmly protect the national sovereignty over seas and islands.
