During the event, the council commented on the draft report on emulation and reward work and the “Determined-to-Win” emulation movement in this year, and mapped out solutions for the coming year. Delegates also considered awarding the Emulation Flag to outstanding units in 2021 and conferring title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces during the resistance war on seven collectives.
In 2021, the Central Military Commission (CMC), Defense Ministry, GDP, and chains-of-command at all levels have comprehensively and synchronously implemented the emulation and reward work in line with the patriotic emulation movement in localities nationwide; learning and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle; and the implementation of the resolution of the fourth session of the 13th Party Central Committee on strengthening Party building and rectification, among others.
Therefore, the work has created an important motivation, directly contributing to building strong and healthy Party organizations and strong units in all aspects, successfully completing all assigned tasks of this year.
The council also decided on the themes and orientations for the next year’s emulation and reward work, which will emphasize maintaining cohesion, adhering to strict discipline, and encouraging creativeness.
General Luong Cuong, speaking at the event, praised the GDP’s Department of Information and Training – the Standing Organ of the Defense Ministry’s Emulation and Reward Council – for their thorough preparation of draft documents as well as the speeches delivered at the conference, which will help gather ideas for a draft report reviewing the council’s task performance.
He also requested the standing organ to look over the proposals for awarding outstanding units in the draft report, soon complete evaluation of this year’s emulation and reward work, and concrete a plan of the work in the next year.
