In the letter, the defense chief inquired after them and sent best wishes to them.
He noted that over the past seven decades, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, the Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels and with the due care and support from local Party committees, authorities and people, together with the close and effective coordination of agencies and units inside and outside the military, military medical staff, cadets and soldiers have kept in mind Uncle Ho's teaching that “A good doctor must be like a kind mother.” They have brought into play the good nature and glorious traditions of the heroic Vietnam People's Army and Vietnamese doctors, stayed united, promoted creativity, self-reliance, pro-actively overcome all difficulties and hardships.

According to Gen. Giang, the military medical personnel have promoted scientific research and application, closely combined traditional medicine with modern one, and successfully admitted, treated and cared for troops and people’s health as well as performed international duties.
The defense leader highlighted their task performance in during exercises, celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defense Festive Day in 2024. He also highly praised their engagement in the search and rescue operation, treatment and care for disaster victims and distressed people at sea and on islands of the country, saying that they have actively contributed to the military building, defense consolidation and firm Fatherland protection. In recognition of their excellent task performance, the Party and the State have presented noble awards to them.
Highly praising their attainments and great efforts in the past 70 years, Defense Minister Phan Van Giang hoped that in the new era, they continue promoting the glorious traditions of the military medical sector, further study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and styles. They should also strengthen other emulation movements to deserve to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers and outstandingly complete their assignments to be worthy of the trust of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, officers and soldiers in the whole military as well as the people and international friends.
