Defense Minister encourages participants in competition for commanding officers and political commissars

Earlier, the defense minister worked with the organizing panel of the competition, during which he was briefed on the preparation for and management of the event.

The report said that to prepare for the competition, the organizing panel and its affiliates have built a system of documents and taken comprehensive and synchronous measures to carry out preparation work. It has also orientated and guided participating units to seriously practice contents and tested participating officers. The organizing panel held training for members of the jury and service forces to meet the requirement of missions.  

The defense minister praised the organizing panel for its thorough preparation for the event.

While visiting the test’s jury and contestants, General Phan Van Giang was happy with the contestants' skills. He evaluated that they well applied acquired knowledge and tactical principles to solving problems and answered the jury’s questions.  

After talking with contestants participating in the line-up regulation content and checking the jury’s assessment, General Giang asked the jury to make accurate and fair decisions and encourage participants to complete all contents.

The defense minister also re-examined 12 contestants who had completed K54 shooting lessons 1 and 1b and evaluated that the participating officers well demonstrated their skills.

After the visit, General Phan Van Giang assigned relevant agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense to continue studying and organizing more competitions to raise the quality of commanding officers of units at all levels, contributing to building revolutionary, regular, elite and gradually modernized military.
