In the letter, the defense leader sent best wishes to all cadres and members of the Military Youth Union Organization.
In 2023, under the leadership and direction of the CMC, the Ministry of National Defense (MND), the General Department of Political Affairs, and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Party Committees and chains-of-commands at all levels, youths in the whole military upheld good virtues and glorious traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army, stayed united and promoted the vanguard role and creativity to overcome all difficulties and successfully accomplish missions of training and combat readiness, education, regularity building, military discipline, scientific research, business and production activities, etc.

Meanwhile, the youth enthusiastically engaged in activities to prevent natural disasters and handle their consequences; search and rescue operations; young officer exchange programs, international military sports festivals, U.N. peacekeeping operations, and other tasks, obtaining positive results and receiving high appreciation of the CMC and MND. Their active participation has contributed to the cause of national construction and safeguarding, beautifying the images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
General Phan Van Giang also applauded them for their outstanding achievements over the past year. He expressed his hope that in 2024 and following years, they will continue to bring into play the traditions and attainments, enhance the “studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style” movement and the emulation movement “Military youths improve virtues and expertise and promote the vanguard role and creativity to deserve the title of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new situation.”
In addition, agencies and units in the whole military should effectively organize youth movements and action programs to build strong Youth Union organizations, while military youths should actively engage in the building of strong and healthy party organizations, comprehensively-strong, “exemplary and typical” agencies and units, and excellently fulfill all assignments, deserving the trust of the Party, State, military and people.
