Trang topped the final round for individuals of the contest that was held in Hanoi on August 19.
In this round, contestants competed in four events, including “Footprints ahead,” “Finding the truth,” “Confidence in me,” and “Light illuminates the road.” Corporal Trang’s performance got the best points from the jury. She was followed by Pham Bich Ngoc from High Quality Training Institute under the Vietnam Maritime University and Huynh Thanh Nga from Tay Ninh College of Pedagogy.
The contest was launched on May 18, 2023 with individual and group categories.

The fifth edition, according to the organizers, had many new features such as the expansion of contestants for those from young theory clubs of universities, academies and colleges, holding of provincial-level contests, topics close to the country’s current news. In addition, online lectures on political theory subjects posted on the contest’s website provided contestants with more useful knowledge.
During six competition weeks of the individual category, 261,874 contestants from 67 Youth Union organizations nationwide and the Vietnamese Students Association abroad joined the event.

The final round of the group category took place on August 20 with the participation of four teams: Military Youths, Hanoi Youth Union Organization, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Organization, and the Youth Advisory Board of the People’s Public Security force.
With their confidence, good knowledge, and firm stance, the Military Youths team excellently won the first prize with 327.8 points. The team was rewarded VND 20 million and more importantly, all team members were honored to join the 2024 “Youths for national sea and islands” journey to be held in Truong Sa island district next year.

The Olympiad was jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Truth - National Political Publishing House.
