Defense leader visits comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia
PANO - On April 22 in Hanoi, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), led a delegation to visit comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, and former Deputy Chief of the GDP.
In a warm atmosphere, on behalf of the leadership of the GDP, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh wished comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia good health, happiness, and continued success in his current position. He also expressed hope that comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia would remain engaged and continue contributing to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the development of a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modernized military.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh provided an overview of recent developments in the Party and political work of the military, highlighting key activities across the armed forces to celebrate the upcoming 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed sincere gratitude for the thoughtful gesture and visit from the leadership of the GDP, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, and the delegation. He also expressed his delight at achievements of the military, particularly in the Party and political work.

He expressed hope that all officers and soldiers will continue to uphold and promote the noble qualities and traditions of Uncle Ho’s soldiers. He encouraged the GDP to further fulfill its strategic advisory role to the Politburo, the Secretariat, especially to the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, in building a politically strong military. This, he noted, is a foundation for enhancing the military’s overall strength and combat readiness, especially in organizing major national celebrations throughout 2025.
