Defense leader pays pre-Tet visits to units in Central Highlands
PANO – On January 30, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh led a delegation to check units’ combat readiness observance and preparations for the upcoming lunar New Year.
The mission visited Depots K897 and K896 of the Department of Weapons and Ammunition of the General Department of Technical Services and Regiment 48 of Division 320 under Army Corps 3.

During the visits, Gen. Anh praised and highly appreciated units’ achievements and asked them to continue to study and strictly carry out higher levels’ resolutions, directives, and guidance; review and adjust combat readiness plans as regulated; cooperate with local party committees, authorities, and forces to closely follow situational developments; enhance vigilance spirit and ensure absolute safety for units and warehouses; be well-prepared for training, carry out Party and political work, and observe Lunar New Year festival; pay attention to and take care of policy families, poor households, officers and soldiers in difficult circumstances.

While visiting the Bureaus of the People’s Army Newspaper in Gia Lai and the Military Broadcasting Center in Central Highlands, the deputy chief of the General Staff inquired after and extended New Year wishes to their reporters, editors, and staff. Gen. Anh requested the two units to closely follow situational developments and pro-actively disseminate the guidelines of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense on military and defense missions. He urged the two units to well collaborate with local party committees and authorities, and press agencies to popularize the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, build local defensive areas, and combine socio-economy development and defense consolidation.
