Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Bao, Director of the Political Academy, noted that in 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, the school has well performed their assigned tasks in the fields of scientific research, military history, application of information technology, and building of e-government and digital transformation in the Ministry of National Defense (MND)’s e-government development plan towards a digital government in 2022 and 2023, in line with the unit’s situation.

Reportedly, the scientific research and the application of information technology, as well as e-government building and digital transformation at the academy have been comprehensively, synchronously and effectively implemented. Meanwhile, its troops’ awareness of the importance of the tasks has also been raised considerably, so as to promote digital transformation in the following years.
Regarding the military history research, in 2022, the academy was honored with the State-level Science and Technology Prize; started conducting a new national-level project; carried out two MND-level projects, among others. Currently, the academy is rolling out two projects at the national level and three ones at the MND level, among others.
As a result, the e-government building and digital transformation have been ensured, in line with the education and training work. Accordingly, the unit has actively promoted the application of information technology and raised their competence during task performance.
Concluding the inspection, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Huy Vinh hailed the unit’s achievements in the fields of scientific research, military history, the application of information technology. He also requested them to take drastic measures and strictly observe the MND’s directives to effectively implement the tasks.

With regard to the digital transformation, the deputy defense minister asked the unit’s chain-of-command to promote their leadership and disseminate information about digital transformation and application of information technology, and further invest in infrastructure, to name but a few.
Besides, MND’s affiliated units should create favorable conditions for the academy to well perform education and training work as well as scientific research, towards building a smart school.
