The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh and attended by leaders of the Air Defense-Air Forces Service and the Department of Army Air Defense.

Reports delivered at the event revealed that military units thoroughly embraced and strictly implemented the directives and guidelines of higher levels on army air defense work and political, logistical, and technical missions. They also ensured adequate personnel, weapons, and military equipment to meet the requirements of all missions.

Earlier, a mission of the General Staff inspected the task performance of commanders of brigades and detachments, coordination among combat sections of brigades and anti-aircraft artillery companies, and military units’ regulation building. The General Staff also reviewed the implementation of Party, political, logistical, and technical work, and training to master new weapons and equipment.

Speaking at the conference, General Vinh hailed recorded achievements mentioned in the reports and pointed out shortcomings in carrying out the work. He asked the Department of Army Air Defense to comprehend views and advice of relevant agencies at the conference to raise the effectiveness of the work. The Army Air Defense Force was also asked to build and carry out training programs and exercises to augment training and combat readiness quality.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff urged relevant agencies to submit a report on the outcomes of the implementation of army air defense work to the Chief of the General Staff and send it to military regions and army corps.
