CMC’s Standing Committee gathers military delegates at the Party Central Committee’s 13th meeting

The event saw the attendance of General Luong Cuong, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, Sr. Lt. Gen. Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister, among others.

At the meeting, General Luong Cuong briefed delegates on the results of the 11th Military Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, the Party congresses of military units at all levels, and the agenda of the 13th meeting of the 12th Party Central Committee.

Speaking at the event, Defense Minister Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich acknowledged the efforts of units throughout the military in fulfilling their missions over the past nine months.

He underlined that the 13th meeting of the 12th Party Central Committee is an important event in preparation for the 13th National Party Congress. Therefore, the defense minister required the military participants at the meeting to follow the leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Military Commission and the instructions of Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong at the 11th Military Party Congress.

He urged them to promote responsibility and contribute their minds to the success of the 13th meeting of the 12th Party Central Committee as well as the upcoming 10th session of the 14th tenure of the National Assembly while directing the effective implementation of the resolutions of the 11th Military Party Congress.
