According to a report delivered by Lieutenant General Tran Huu Phuc, Director of the Department of Military School Management under the General Staff, for the past decade, the education and training quality of the military school system has been improved. The military academies and schools have met and surpassed their education and training targets.
Graduates of military academies and schools all have had firm political stance and been loyal to the Party, nation, and people. They have demonstrated creative thinking, professional expertise, and knowledge of military, politics, science and technology. Furthermore, they have had a good command of foreign languages and are capable of using computers, good at staff work, and always ready to undertake and complete all assignments.
In recent years, the system of military schools has been gradually completed, meeting the requirements of training high-quality human resources for the military as well as for national industrialization and modernization.

According to General Phuc, instructors and education managers at military academies and schools have good qualifications, good professional knowledge and expertise, good command of foreign languages and IT, and have abilities to conduct scientific research projects.
Over the past years, military academies and schools have focused on renovating their training programs with more practice and field training close to the real missions, combat readiness capabilities, and assigned weapons and equipment of military units. To improve the quality of their education and training programs, military academies and schools have also increased IT application to teaching and learning, invested in education infrastructure, teaching equipment and training grounds, and strengthened cooperation with non-military schools and international partners.
The meeting mapped out education and training goals and 13 missions and solutions for military education and training development towards 2030 and subsequent years.
In his conclusion speech, General Giang emphasized the good outcomes of the 10 year-implementation of the strategy and applauded military academies, schools, defense agencies and military units for their efforts in implementing the strategy.
To meet the set goals and implement the missions for education and training development towards 2030 and in following years, General Giang urged all military academies, schools and related units to grasp all resolutions and polices of the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense on education and training at military schools while further improving teaching quality and foreign language study.
He suggested that military academies and schools should increase political and ideological education for their students, and boost coordination and cooperation with military units to organize more field trips to military units for their students. He also underlined the need to continuously augment the expertise of instructors and managers at military academies and schools.
