Nearly 200 bottles of hand sanitizer and more than 500 face masks were presented to market vendors and low income workers.

This meaningful activity helped strengthen relations between the armed forces of Military Region 4 and local people and prevent the spread of the disease in the community.

In the face of complicated developments in the COVID-19 situation, the Border Guard Command has mobilized 280 officers, cadets and soldiers of the Border Guard Academy to help the four northern border provinces of Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Lao Cai, and Cao Bang control COVID-19 infection.

Major General Trinh Hoang Hiep, Director of the Academy said that 280 officers and cadets cooperated with the other forces to set up 250 checkpoints along the borderline in an effort to prevent the disease.

"They will conduct patrols along borderlines to prevent illegal immigration, smuggling and illegal transport of goods across the border," he added.

After receiving the order of the Border Guard Command, officers and cadres of the Border Guard Academy have moved to the provinces. They in close coordination with the local border troops are performing their tasks.
