Lt. Gen. Le Duc Thai addresses the event.

The force showed their determination at a conference held on December 31, 2023 to review border work in 2023 and roll out tasks for 2024 under the chair of Commander of the Vietnam Border Guard Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai.

In 2023, the border work was performed effectively. Units well grasped situations, made timely reports and gave recommendations to higher levels to issue practical policies. They effectively implemented crime and disease prevention and control work, strictly observed combat readiness regulations, actively built all-people border posture and strong border areas.

Attentively, positive changes were seen in training for troops, building regular, comprehensively-strong, exemplary and typical agencies and units, as well as ensuring technical, logistic and financial services for all working aspects.
