Speaking at the meeting, Binh highly appreciated the achievements obtained by the border guard force over the past time, especially in protecting security in border areas. On behalf of the Supreme People's Court’ staff, Binh expressed his deep thanks for the contributions and sacrifices of the border guard troops and asked them to foster border management to prevent SARS-CoV-2 from spreading in the community. He also urged the border guard troops to heighten their vigilance and fulfill all assigned missions.

As the Lunar New Year is drawing near, the Chief of the Supreme People's Court wished troops and their families good health and a happy Tet and asked them to firmly protect national sovereignty and security in border areas.

On behalf of border guard troops, Commander of the Border Guard Command Major General Le Duc Thai briefed the delegation on the force’s task performance over the past time. Particularly, the force has strictly maintained combat readiness, effectively combated crimes, made effective recommendations for higher levels to issue guidelines and measures to firmly protect national sovereignty and security in border areas, and dealt with issues that arose in border areas.

The Border Guard Command instructed its units to organize spring activities for local people. Border guard units have cooperated with businesses and local units to present 7,000 gifts, worth VND 20 billion to local people and taken care of troops who are carrying out missions in border and remote areas and natural disaster-hit localities.
