The purpose of this live-fire exercise was to assess the commanding officers' capabilities in conducting flight training with the use of weapons, evaluate the combat readiness of pilots when attacking ground targets, and inspect the quality of weapons and equipment.

During the exercise, pilots and flight crews practiced daytime attacks on ground targets, including bombing runs and strafing runs individually and in pairs. Particularly, the Air Defense and Air Force Service introduced a new type of rocket and bomb that underwent testing. The exercise was successful, with 100 percent of pilots and crews achieving satisfactory results, ensuring absolute safety in all aspects.
