This highest form of training aimed to check and evaluate the quality of training and combat readiness, conditions of weapons and military equipment, and units’ technical services for missions.
The event was also to enhance the command capability of and coordination among officers from regiments in the whole service and evaluate units’ ensuring of aviation engineering, technical services and logistics supplies, and communication for combat training and combat missions.

One of the new features in this year’s event was the participation of young pilots. Earlier, the Air Defense - Air Force Service directed participating units to offer opportunities for young pilots to join shooting and bombing contents to evaluate their mastery of weapons and equipment.
The scale of this year’s exercise was evaluated to be larger than that of previous years with the participation of air forces from both the Air Defense - Air Force Service and the Naval Service and higher-requirement and closer-to-combat situation contents.
In spite of taking place in unfavorable weather conditions, fighters and helicopters of units successfully completed all contents. Especially, many young pilots destroyed ground targets in the first salvoes in their first participation in such an even.
Thanks to thorough preparations, the live-fire exercise for the air force took place as planned, ensuring absolute safety of personnel, weapons, and equipment. Its outcomes accurately reflected the quality of combat readiness training of units in the whole service as well as capability of mastering weapons, estimating, operating, and handling situations and stance of flight commanders, pilots, pilots cum navigators, and navigation officers.

The exercise’s results will serve as a basis for the Air Defense - Air Force Service to direct air force units to enhance the quality of training, thus ensuring flight safety to meet task requirements in the new period.
