During the meeting, delegates voiced their opinions on coordination, organization, and the content and theme of the seminar. The seminar will be co-organized by the Ministry of National Defense (MND) and the Dak Lak provincial Party Committee, with the theme of "Central Highlands Victory in 1975 and half a century of building and developing Dak Lak province."

Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Huy Vinh chairs the meeting of the Steering Committee for the ministerial level scientific conference to mark the 50th anniversary of Tay Nguyen Victory (1975-2025).

The seminar will focus on clarifying the Party’s military viewpoints and strategies, promoting the people’s warfare posture, mobilizing the strength of the great national unity, and the power of the era during the final stages of the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists. It also highlights the lessons and military art used during the operational campaign and the achievements of the military and people in Central Highlands, as well as the Party, government, and people of Dak Lak province over the 50 years since liberation.

As planned, the seminar will be held in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province in early March. Meanwhile, the organizing board will visit and present gifts to policy beneficiaries and offer incense in tribute to fallen soldiers.

Concluding the event, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Huy Vinh required MND’s agencies and units and Dak Lak province to continue to coordinate with each other to make thorough preparations for the seminar.

The Steering Committee and its Standing Office should enhance dissemination about the significance and scale of Central Highlands Victory via the press and media, both inside and outside the military, especially in Central Highlands’ localities, while ensuring absolute safety for all activities of the event.

Nguyen Van Nghia chaired a working session on February 12 with agencies and units on the project for the parade in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the Reunification of the country, as well as the 80th anniversary of the National Day.

According to the Department of Military Training and School Management, since February 3, military units assigned to participate in the parade in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the Reunification of the country have organized training activities for participating forces as regulated. Since February 16, the units will move to the training area for the second phase.

Regarding the parade for the 80th anniversary of the National Day, functional agencies have conducted site surveys, developed plans, and sought opinions from agencies, units, and central and local ministries, departments, and related localities to report to higher levels as required.

Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Nghia required chains-of-command, officers and soldiers of the agencies and units to raise high determination to accomplish the assigned missions. Chains-of-command at all levels should enhance inspection and conduct strict training activities, while ensuring safe movement of logistics supplies and technical services, uniforms, and equipment for the forces as regulated.

* On February 12, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Lt. Gen. Do Xuan Tung led a delegation to conduct an on-site survey at the Party Committee of the Air Defense - Air Force Service.

After the survey, the issues of interest to the delegation were clarified, particularly those related to building the air defense posture, strong army air defense force, people’s air defense, and whole-military air force; building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern air force; as well as ensuring the logistics supplies and technical services.
