The units should pay more attention to taking care of troops’ spiritual and material life; ensure a warm and joyful lunar New Year for troops; strengthen the close ties between the military and people in the stationed areas; and closely coordinate with functional forces to maintain political security, social order and safety.

Gen. Meanwhile, the unit should raise ideological and political education among troops to raise their awareness of combat readiness missions; strictly manage personnel and vehicles involved in transportation to ensure absolute safety, to name but a few.

After the inspection, Gen. Son praised the units’ obtained achievements over the past time, requiring them to continue to give recommendations to the Party Committees and local authorities on the leadership and implementation of military and defense tasks, the building of a strong whole-people defense posture; firmly safeguard national border security; and effectively implement defense external work.

On the occasion, Gen. Son, together with leaders from the Military Region 4 Command and the Hue city People’s Committee, presented gifts to the Military and Border Guard Commands of Hue city; the Military Commands of Huong Tra, Phong Dien townships in Quang Dien and A Luoi districts, respectively; relatives of the martyrs who laid down their lives performing search and rescue missions at Rao Trang 3 hydropower plant; and 100 policy beneficiaries and needy households in the city.
