PANO – Last year, units in the whole army donated nearly 700,000 working days to help people nationwide build and upgrade roads, houses and public facilities, plant trees in forests, and harvest crops.
Many delegations of military doctors were sent to provide free check-ups and medicines for more than 600,000 people, and over 5,000 units of blood were donated from these units.
The units were also twinned with 7,000 organizations in localities where they are stationed, as well as helped locals implement policies and guidelines of the Party and State.
In addition, they spent VND 26 billion to organize gratitude activities for policy beneficiaries, and mobilized about 670,000 troops and militiamen and 5,000 vehicles to conduct search and rescue missions.
