PANO - Colonel Dinh Quoc Hung, Head of the Military Youth Committee of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) on July 12th received the delegation of young Indian officers, led by Major Nadisetti Ganesh, during their  visit to Vietnam until July 17th.

At the reception, the Vietnamese officer briefed the guests on VPA’s young officers and highlighted the visit as a good opportunity for the two countries’ young officers to boost mutual understanding. He also expressed his hope that through exchanges in several units, young Indian officers would learn more about Vietnam, its people and army as well as the Vietnamese Party’s and State’s policies on defence external affairs so that they could actively contribute to promoting mutual understanding and trust between the two armies and peoples.

On behalf of the Indian delegation, Major Nadisetti Ganesh thanked the host for warm reception and stressed that young Indian officers gained actual and useful experiences from field trips and broadened their knowledge of Vietnam, its people and defence policies.

The Indian officer hoped the two armies would organize more exchanges for young officers of the two armies in the future to help strengthen unity and friendship between the two States, peoples and armies.

Earlier, the Indian delegation was reported on VPA’s history and Vietnam’s policies on defence external affairs by a representative from the Vietnamese Institute for Military Strategy, visited the Vietnam Military History Museum and Engineering Brigade 229 under the Engineering Arm.
